Welcome to the 2012/13 school year.  Although I haven't been writing this blog this year, I intend to start once everything settles down and works the way it is supposed to work in the new school.  I will tell you when to start checking here regularly.  For now, just post your answer to the question in the intro prezi in the comments section below.  Leave your first name only.  Feel free to provide a bit of explanation for your answer if you wish.  Have fun.

Subaj Singh Rakkar- the video is a satire because it uses sarcasm. the computer super small and a very big user manual. a burlesque is a peice of art pretty much so it can't be it.

Serah: It's an example of burlesque :)because the video is over dramatizing apple product commercials.

I think this video is a burlesque because a burlesque is a dramatic parody-type work that is made for the sake of laughter and to mock an object/person. This video was mocking the Mac computers and was quite funny.

Pranav Burlesque because the video made the mactini an outrageously small size, making fun of other mac products for how small they have gotten. It is mainly burlesque because they have made the mactini comically small which makes the video burlesque

Meharoop- Burlesque because it is making fun of apple and how they tend to downsize products. The size of the mactini is comically exaggerated.

Imeran Singh Bains- it is a berselque because it complements on the artistic way of the computer and it is saturizing the computer.

I think the Mactini video was a burlesque, because it's a dramatic and artistic composition that mocks the decreasing size of Mac laptops. It's a parody that is meant to make people laugh and these traits fit the definition of a burlesque.

Juan: I think it's Satire because they were mocking Apple. They exagerrated their words and used lots of irony.

Aneal & Kalan

This video was burlesque because it overly exaggerated the size of the Mactini and wanted people to laugh at how apple makes their laptops so small.

I think the video is an example of sarcasm because he was saying how great the mini laptop was but the fact that there was a crowd in the background laughing the whole time and the fact that he was so enthusiastic about the rediculousness of it all gave away that he was being sarcastic.

I think this video is an example of satire. This is because the video involved verbal sarcasm. His computer/invention the MacTini was folly of the actual MacBook's. This was done when he said that the MacTini could do many useful things, similar to the MacBook. However, he was using sarcasm to present his invention. So this is why I think the video is an example of satire.

This video is an example of satire. I think this because the man used irony, sarcasm, and ridicule. He uses these things when he talks about it's uses and functions and because he uses the name of "Mac" and turns it into "Mactini".

Serena and Rajvir were the ones that were Anonymous and said that: (I think this video is an example of satire. This is because the video involved verbal sarcasm... Something along those lines...)

I think that the video was an example of burlesque. Burlesque is more of a dramatic work that is meant to make people laugh, while a satire isn't necessarily funny; it critizes a serious subject like politics. The video on the new mactini and the mactini nano is trying to make fun of the fact that "Apple" keeps coming out with smaller and smaller gadgets. It ridicules the advancement of technology without adding too many facts about the Mac; this way everyone will understand the video and be able to laugh. A satire on this subject would have a lot of information about the Mac and it might criticize its feautures more. People who don't know a lot about computers wouldn't understand it.

i think its burlesque, theres this sense if hilarity that makes you smile and laugh, while making fun of the this video. the mac is a multi-million product of apple and we somtimes think, ' what are they going to make next? this video shows what we think of them because we somtimes make fun of them for there advance technolagy and wonder whats the next big thing.
burlesque is criticising something but in a more hilarious way, while satire is doing it in a more serious way.
