Today we watched a film version of Number 13 and a brief clip of James Burke.  We will begin our connections project tomorrow.  The quiz on Thursday will be on gothic terms.

I think that it is burlesque because it is taking a ordinary product, the mac computers in this case, and making a mactini, a joke computer but treating it with mock dignity by treating it seriously while it is obviously a joke. Tahya

In my opinion, I believe the video was a satire because they ridiculed the Mac, which is a quality of satire. It is also very sarcastic. It is not a burlesque video though, due to the video not being artistic.

I think that the video is both Burlesque and Satire. It is, in my opnion, mostly Satire. I believe this because satire is using irony, or sarcasm. And the video is mostly irony and sarcasm.

I think the video was both burlesque and satire because there were elements of irony and sarcasm but at the same time the sarcasm could be seen as caricaturization, which is a component of burlesque. -Paul

In my personal opinon, I think the video clip is satire because the clip uses irony and sarcasm because he is making fun of the original mac computer, also how they keep trying to make it "thinner" and "smaller" so he is using satire but in a humor way. The clip was very humorous and used a lot of amusement.
